About

Michael Ben-Or's contributions have shaped the theory of distributed computing, cryptography and quantum computing. They include randomized byzantine agreement, which is widely used in blockchain protocols, the introduction of information-theoretic multiparty computation, which is a flourishing area with both theoretical and practical results, the proof of the quantum fault tolerance theorem, and foundational results in quantum cryptography. The workshop will discuss these results and their impact through the lens of time.
