Kasra Jalaldoust

Graduate Student, Columbia University

Kasra Jalaldoust is a PhD student in Computer Science at Columbia University, advised by Elias Bareinboim. His research interests revolve around generalizability, with a goal of understanding theoretical limitations of learning in domain generalization and adaptation tasks. In particular, he uses structural causal models to ground various notions of domain relatedness, and formalizes the inductive biases that enable agents to make cross-population inferences. Before joining Columbia, Kasra completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Economics at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
