Abstract

Most people agree that states and governments should develop AI safety regulation, but there is no agreement on "how" such regulation should look like. SB 1047 was one such initial iteration, polarizing AI experts including our distinguished panelists, into supporters and opposers. Even though SB 1047 was vetoed, AI safety regulation will remain as an active discussion. Our panelists will discuss insights on what such regulation should cover, as well as concerns with some regulation clauses or the lack thereof.
