Simone Severini
Simone Severini received a Laura degree in Philosophy from the Universitá degli Studi di Firenze in 2000, and a PhD from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol in 2004. He was a Research Associate at the University of York, and a Research Fellow with the Institute for Quantum Computing and Combinatorics & Optimization at the University of Waterloo. Since 2009, he has been at UCL, London, first as a Newton International Fellow with the Department of Physics & Astronomy, and then as a Royal Society University Research Fellow with the Department of Computer Science, where he is currently a Reader in Physics of Information. He is a founding member of the UCL Quantum Science and Technology Institute (UCLQ). With over hundred peer-reviewed papers, he has contributed to the initiation of a number of new lines of investigation at the interplay of Physics, Information Theory, and Discrete Mathematics.
