Raphael Louca
Raphael Louca is a PhD candidate in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University in 2011, where he earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering and a BSc in Mathematics. He went on to attend Cornell University, where he pursued an MEng degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests lie at the intersection of power systems and optimization theory. His current work centers on characterizing efficient convex relaxations for a problem in power systems referred to as optimal power flow. He is also working on characterizing properties of solutions to sparse semidefinite programs. He is a recipient of the Fulbright, Jacobs, H.C. Torng, and Evi Sofianou fellowships.
