Nick Harvey
Assistant Professor, University of British Columbia
Nick Harvey works on theoretical computer science, primarily on algorithms relating to combinatorial optimization problems. He completed his PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research New England from 2008 to 2009, and an assistant professor at the University of Waterloo from 2009 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been an assistant professor and Canada Research Chair at the University of British Columbia. He is a recipient of the 2013 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, the Best Student Paper Award at FOCS 2006, and the Best Paper Award at USITS 2003.
