Marco Molinaro
Marco Molinaro obtained his PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization at Carnegie Mellon University in 2013, advised by Professor Gerard Cornuejols. He has held Assistant Professor positions at Georgia Tech's School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, TU Delft's Applied Mathematics Department, and PUC-Rio's Computer Science Department. Molinaro's research interests lie broadly in optimization, with emphasis on integer programming and optimization with limited information. His research is interdisciplinary in nature and borrows perspectives from different areas of mathematics and Operations Research. His work has garnered the Best Computer Science MS Thesis award from the Brazilian Computing Society, an IBM PhD Fellowship, and the Gerald Thompson Dissertation Award in Management Science from the Tepper School of Business.
