Karl Wimmer is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He received his PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization from Carnegie Mellon University in 2009. His supervisor was Ryan O'Donnell. He also received a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2004. His research interests include computational learning theory, Fourier analysis of boolean functions, property testing, combinatorics, and the representation theory of the symmetric group.
