Germano Gabbianelli

Germano Gabbianelli is a PhD student in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, and a fellow of the "La Caixa" INPhINIT programme. He is working on Reinforcement Learning Theory, and more specifically on efficient exploration through structured randomization, supervised by Professor Gergely Neu.

Before moving to Barcelona, he worked a year in Milan at ContentWise, as a research engineer, in the field of recommender systems. He has an MSc in computer science and engineering from Politecnico of Milan, where he did a research thesis on Reinforcement learning, which ignited his interest for the field. He was born in Rome, the city where he obtained his bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the Roma Tre University.
