Eilyan Bitar
Eilyan Bitar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. His current research examines the operation and economics of modern power systems, with an emphasis on the design of markets and optimization methods to manage uncertainty in renewable energy resources. He received his BS (2006) and PhD (2011) from the University of California at Berkeley, under the supervision of Kameshwar Poolla. Prior to joining Cornell, he spent one year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Steven Low. He is a recipient of the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award (CAREER), the John and Janet McMurtry Fellowship, the John G. Maurer Fellowship, and the Robert F. Steidel Jr. Fellowship.
