Daniel Vaz

Daniel Vaz is a third-year PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, supervised by Parinya Chalermsook. He moved to Germany in order to pursue a doctoral degree, after obtaining a BSc and MSC in Informatics Engineering from the University of Coimbra, in Portugal. His main research interests are Approximation Algorithms, focusing on Network Design and Cut Problems on trees or graphs of bounded treewidth, as well as Combinatorial Optimization and Graph Theory.
