Daniel Kressner

Professor, EPFL

Daniel Kressner works in numerical linear algebra, with a special focus on high-dimensional problems and randomized algorithms. He received his PhD in Mathematics from TU Berlin in 2004 under the supervision of Volker Mehrmann. After postdoctoral stays in Zagreb and Umeå, he became Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at ETH Zurich in 2007. He moved to EPFL in 2011, where he is now Professor of Mathematics and Chair of Numerical Algorithms and High-Performance Computing.
