Andrea Rotnitzky' is full professor of Statistics at Universidad di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health,
Her research is focused on the development of analytical tools for estimating, from non or imperfect experimental data, the effects of interventions. She is works on the development of semiparametric efficient methods that exploit the information in the available data without making unnecessary assumptions about the parts of the data generating process that are not of substantive interest. Her work includes methods for 1) estimating, from longitudinal health care databases, optimal dynamic treatment regime strategies, 2) determining optimal adjustment sets in causal graphical models, 3) robust inference about overall causal effects that are identified under causal graphical models with hidden variables, 4) evaluating diagnostic markers from studies that suffer from verification bias, 5) missing data analysis, 6) analyzing clinical trials with non-compliance.
