Amy Ambrose

Senior Development Director, Simons Institute, UC Berkeley

Amy Ambrose leads the Simons Institute’s advancement efforts. Prior to joining the Simons Institute, Amy held a variety of roles in advancement, including: Senior Strategist in UC Berkeley's central development office, Assistant Dean at Berkeley Law, Director of External Relations at University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, Director of International Relations at UC Berkeley, and Director of Pacific Rim Presence for ETH Zürich/EPFL. Amy is a frequent speaker on international fundraising in higher education. The first half of her career was spent in the private sector, in marketing and business development. A native Californian, Amy speaks Japanese and French. Her academic background includes: B.A. from UC Berkeley, Certificate in Japanese from Sophia University, M.A. from Northwestern University and M.B.A. from University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. She is also a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), as accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
